Hanoi - On the afternoon of January 28, Minister of Transport Tran Hong Minh inspected passenger service at Giap Bat Bus Station.

According to Mr. Pham Manh Hung - Director of Hanoi Bus Station Joint Stock Company, during the peak period of Tet, from January 19 to 27 (ie December 20 to 28), on average, the three bus stations Giap Bat, My Dinh and Gia Lam operated more than 17,000 trips per day, equivalent to the same period in 2024.

The number of passengers passing through the station reached more than 187,000, an increase of 300% - 400% compared to normal days. The total number of additional vehicles was 889.

Specifically, Giap Bat Bus Station has the highest number of passengers reaching over 16,500/day. Passengers are concentrated on the routes: Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa...

At Gia Lam Bus Station, the highest number of passengers reached 3,600/day, mainly traveling to Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, and Bac Giang routes.

Also according to Mr. Hung, in recent days, the bus stations managed by the company have not allowed overloaded vehicles, sold tickets at higher prices than registered prices, ensured that all passengers on the bus had tickets before leaving the station, and that the operation of the station and vehicles was safe.

Acknowledging the orderly and clean operation of the bus station, without any price gouging, Minister of Transport Tran Hong Minh noted that after the Lunar New Year, there were many passenger buses returning to the capital, and the bus station had to coordinate with transport units to come up with the best service plan. In the coming time, the bus station management unit must increase the application of information technology in management, operation, and ticket sales, creating an attractive and safe environment for passengers to choose.

Also on the afternoon of January 28, Minister of Transport Tran Hong Minh inspected Noi Bai International Airport and requested Noi Bai International Airport to continue reviewing the passenger service plan after Tet, when people return to study and work.
