Recorded on September 8, on Tam Vu Street (Tan An Ward, Can Tho City), near Tam Vu Market, the construction force is urgently controlling machinery, installing drainage to ensure the completion of the project on schedule.

Despite unfavorable weather, erratic sunshine and rain, combined with many means of transportation, workers still tried to deploy their work to soon bring the project to the finish line.

Talking with Lao Dong, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Dung - Commander of the project to build a new drainage system and renovate Tam Vu road surface - said that when receiving the site and starting construction, the unit has completed 75 days. The construction unit has planted a rainwater drainage culvert for 1,700/1,822m of road, and this work has reached 95%. At the same time, the section from Ba Le bridge to alley 577 is also implementing the pouring of concrete for the curb and preparing to pay for the road surface hot asphalt concrete.
Mr. Dung said that if the weather conditions are favorable, the route is expected to be completed by the end of October.
The project to build a new drainage system and renovate the surface of Tam Vu Street (from Tam Vu Market to Alley 577) has a total length of about 1,822m, the current cross-section of the road is 4.5m, the road surface height at the foot of the curb is +2,300 (National elevation scale).
The project has upgraded the existing road surface with a cross-section of 4.5m made of hot asphalt concrete, building a new drainage system for the D600 centrifugal concrete culvert and a surface drainage hole on the right side of the route (from Tam Vu market to alley 577).

Along the route, a 1x2 M250 stone stone curb is arranged with a curb cross-section of 0.6m wide (of which the edge of the curb is 0.2m wide), so after completion, the road surface is 4.9m wide; the sidewalk section is encouraged by the Ward People's Committee to be invested in by the people to serve their travel and business needs.
The Ninh Kieu Construction Investment Project Management Board, the project investor, informed that the total investment of the project is nearly 15 billion VND. Of which, the winning bid for construction is about 11.7 billion VND, the contractor is Thanh Binh Construction Cooperative. The project started construction on June 27, 2025 and is expected to be completed within 120 days.
As Lao Dong informed readers in July 2025, Tam Vu route is about 3km long, one of the routes with high traffic density in Can Tho city.
In particular, the section from Tran Ngoc Que Street to Tam Vu Market (more than 1.4km long) in the Can Tho River embankment package has been upgraded and expanded to be spacious and clean since 2024.

The remaining section from Tam Vu Market to Dau Sau Canal is seriously degraded. The road surface is narrow, with many "potholes", making it difficult for people to travel. Many people living in the area reported to the press with the saying, on the same route but with "two fates".

Many people hope that the road will be quickly completed as soon as the upgrading is started, avoiding slow construction. Thereby, contributing to improving the transportation system, ensuring safety for people, especially the beauty of the city.
