Speaking at the conference, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung said: The progress of key projects serving APEC is basically guaranteed. Phu Quoc Provincial People's Committee is doing a good job of site clearance, the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee have drastic direction, focusing on Phu Quoc site clearance. Require progress to be completed 3-6 months in advance.
In the process of making many difficulties and obstacles, the province also proactively proposed handling and has been supported by the Central Government to remove them. Currently, the province is focusing on urging construction to ensure the set progress. Regarding gasoline and oil, the province has worked with focal points and directed the Department of Industry and Trade to ensure supply, and material sources must also be ensured for construction deployment. Note that from June onwards, there will be rain, so it is required to bring materials in soon to ensure construction.

Mr. Mung emphasized: "The project is not only fast but must ensure quality, serving the long-term strategy after the APEC 2027 conference, so the province closely directs and continuously inspects. The province established 2 special working groups in Phu Quoc to both help the special zone solve site clearance work and propagate and mobilize people. APEC is an honor, an opportunity for Phu Quoc and An Giang to develop further in the coming time".
The Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee also said that regarding the issue of redundant headquarters, the whole province currently has 790 redundant land and housing facilities that need to be arranged. In June, all arrangement plans must be completed. Large headquarters prioritize serving health and education, and other facilities can be leased or auctioned appropriately. While waiting for implementation, there is assignment of asset protection personnel.
In the coming time, the province will continue to drastically direct the arrangement of headquarters, strengthen management and preservation of public assets to ensure that all houses and land facilities must be used, exploited, and handled in accordance with the law, without leaving them vacant, unused, causing waste.
