According to the reporter's records in Ho Son commune, Huu Lung district, one of the localities with large areas of planted forests in Lang Son in early May, the atmosphere in the nursery gardens was quite bustling.
However, it is worth noting that the amount of seedlings for sale is still not enough to meet market demand.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong, owner of a acacia seedling garden in Ho Son commune, Huu Lung district, said: "Compared to last year, the price of acacia trees has increased 3-4 times. Last year, it was only about 500-700 VND/plant, now it is less than 2,000 VND. Many units have ordered tens of thousands of trees, but I do not dare to accept them because there are not enough varieties."
Similarly, Ms. Quyen - a forest grower shared: "My family plans to plant a new hectare of acacia this year. Half of the seedlings were bought by the family at a price of more than 1,000 VND/tree, with healthy trees. However, a few days ago, due to lack of seeds, we bought more but the price was up to nearly 2,000 VND/plant and there were only small plants, not of good quality".
Although the ma ma trees are bad, according to many forest growers, they still accept planting to ensure the crop and hope that the upcoming down season rains will help the trees grow and develop well.

According to research, currently the price of hom- enough glue for garden export ranges from 2,000 - 3,000 VND/tree, while tissue glue costs up to 5,000 VND/tree, an increase of about 2,000 VND/tree compared to last year.
Explaining the reason, some forestry seedling production facilities in the area, the reason for the high price of seedlings is mainly due to decreased supply.
Talking to reporters, Mr. Nguyen Quang Hung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Son commune shared: "Storm Yagi in September last year broke many forest areas, the need for replanting forests after the storm increased dramatically.
Meanwhile, the prolonged drought at the beginning of the year caused many owners in the garden to die, the success rate of homegrown plantings was only about 50 - 60%, much lower than previous years".
According to Mr. Hung, the glue in the nursery gardens not only serves people in the area but also supplies to many customers in Thanh Hoa, Nghe An and some neighboring provinces.
The shortage of varieties has pushed up prices, especially at a time when localities are stepping up plans to plant forests for the spring - summer crop. Meanwhile, many people have to accept buying high-priced varieties or wait for more time to have enough crops.
Faced with the situation of increasing breeding prices and the risk of people buying poor quality breeds, local authorities and specialized units have stepped in.
"The commune has directed forestry officials to coordinate with the Forest Protection Department and the District Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to strengthen inspections of plant variety production and trading establishments in the area. At the same time, propagate to help people avoid buying floating and unknown seeds, said Mr. Hung.
