It is estimated that there are about 10 projects for afforestation, forest protection combined with tourism in mountainous communes of the old Hoanh Bo district approved by the People's Committee of Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province for detailed planning at a scale of 1/500.
This is an area with great advantages in afforestation, medicinal plant cultivation combined with community tourism development.
According to the People's Committee of Ha Long City, the approval of the above plans is to concretize Resolution No. 78-NQ/TU dated January 2, 2024 of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee on prioritizing resources, exploiting potential, promoting socio-economic development of communes until 2025, with a vision to 2030, the orientation of the General Planning for the construction of communes has been approved by the City People's Committee, as a basis for implementing the next steps, developing agricultural and forestry production to ensure sustainable and long-term goals in the new period.
Among the above projects are: Management area project, nursery garden under the project of Planting large timber forests, medicinal plants under the forest canopy in Dong Lam commune, Ha Long city.
The total area of this project is more than 99,000m2, which is an exhibition area, introducing products, nursery, experiential planting of medicinal herbs, fruit trees combined with agricultural tourism, processing and preservation of agricultural products, medicinal herbs, etc.
The Organic Agricultural, Production and Processing Area Project combined with Agricultural Tourism in Vu Oai Commune, Ha Long City has a research and planning scale of more than 491,000m2. This is a high-tech circular farming and livestock growing area, processing and preserving agricultural products, displaying and introducing products combined with agricultural tourism.
The Project of Crop Area Combined with Agricultural Tourism in Da Rom area, Dan Chu commune, Ha Long city has a scale of more than 266,000m2. This area is planned to grow medicinal herbs, fruit trees, trees of high economic value, apply high technology, nursery gardens, experimental areas, combined with agricultural tourism to promote the cultural identity of the Tay ethnic group.
The Bang Ca Commune Pharmaceutical and Pharmaceutical Project, Ha Long City has a research and planning scale of more than 323,000m2; is an area for growing medicinal herbs and agricultural plants with high economic value, operating product introduction and preliminary processing, preserving agricultural products combined with exploitation of agricultural tourism.
