On January 6, Lam Dong Provincial Police organized a surprise award ceremony for collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in investigating, solving cases, and clarifying the gold shop robbery that occurred at Nhan Co market (Nhan Co commune).

At the ceremony, Colonel Dau Xuan Bao, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police, presented certificates of merit from the Director of Lam Dong Provincial Police to 20 individuals with outstanding achievements; and at the same time acknowledged and praised the achievements of units participating in the investigation and quick arrest of subjects.

Colonel Dau Xuan Bao requested the Criminal Police Department to continue investigating, consolidating evidence, and strictly handling the subject according to legal regulations.

On this occasion, the Chairman of Nhan Co Commune People's Committee also awarded certificates of merit to 4 collectives and 24 individuals with achievements in attacking and suppressing crime, ensuring security and order in the locality.

The results of quickly solving the case demonstrate the high sense of responsibility, ingenuity, creativity, and sharpness in professional skills of the Lam Dong Police force, along with the coordination and support of the people in crime prevention and control.

Previously, as Lao Dong Newspaper reported, at about 3:40 pm on January 1, at Toan Hang gold shop, Nhan Co market, a robbery occurred.
The subject appropriated jewelry gold of type 980 and 610, with a total value of about 500 million VND.

Immediately after receiving the report, the Board of Directors of Lam Dong Provincial Police directed the Criminal Police Department to coordinate with Nhan Co Commune Police and related units to synchronously deploy professional measures to arrest the subject.
After nearly 60 hours of pursuit, the police force arrested Phan Bao Nhat (33 years old, residing in hamlet 3, Nhan Co commune) when the subject was hiding in the Bo Y border gate area (Dak To commune, Quang Ngai province), preparing to cross the border into Laos; and at the same time seized many exhibits related to the case.
