This is part of the border transport route Fangchenggang (China) - Tien Yen (Vietnam) which was agreed upon and licensed by both sides from 2022 but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
On November 27, the Quang Ninh Department of Transport issued a document coordinating with relevant agencies to restore operations on this transport route.
Accordingly, Dongxing Public Transport Company Limited (China) is responsible for operating passenger cars on the route.
On the first day, a passenger bus carrying 13 people including driver, interpreter and passengers arrived in Mong Cai.
Operational route (Vietnam side): Mong Cai International Border Gate (Bac Luan II Bridge Area) - Bac Luan II Bridge Approach Road - Tran Nhan Tong - Hoa Binh Avenue - Hung Vuong Street (not passing through Ka Long Bridge) - Mong Cai Bus Station and vice versa.
Departure times from Dongxing are 8am, 9am, 10am, 12:30pm and 1:30pm (Hanoi time). In the next phase, the frequency will be adjusted according to actual demand and passenger volume.
The restoration of this transport route contributes to promoting trade and tourism between the two countries after a long interruption.
