Recently, the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province has issued a decision to administratively sanction 2 pig farms in Ham Thuan Bac district of a company for 2 violations: Not properly implementing one of the contents of the environmental license as prescribed and discharging wastewater containing normal environmental parameters into the soil environment exceeding the technical standards on waste. The total amount of administrative fines imposed on this company is more than 433 million VND.
Faced with the current situation at pig farms in Binh Thuan, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Binh Thuan province has reported and recommended to the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province has assigned the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to coordinate with relevant units to inspect, monitor, supervise and handle pig farming projects under its management. Ensure that there is no environmental pollution or environmental hotspots in the livestock sector.
At the same time, actively monitor and supervise the testing process of odor treatment models being applied. Then evaluate and select effective treatment models for replication, and guide farm investors to implement them to limit environmental pollution.
