On March 30, the Lang Son Provincial Hydrometeorological Station said that a part of cold air is continuing to flow down to the northern mountainous areas.
Due to the influence of this cold air mass, the Northeast wind operates at level 2 - level 3, causing the temperature in the whole province to drop sharply. The common temperature ranges from 12 to 15 degrees Celsius.
Notably, in the high mountainous area of Mau Son, the temperature has dropped below 10 degrees Celsius, the weather is very cold, very cold at night and early morning. People and tourists are advised to proactively stay warm and be on guard against extreme weather phenomena.
In the face of the strengthening cold air mass, people, especially the elderly and children, need to proactively keep their bodies warm and limit going out in the early morning and at night. You should wear warm clothes, use scarves, hats, socks and masks when traveling outdoors.
In rural areas, people need to cover the barns to keep them windy, provide warm food and drinking water for livestock and poultry; do not let buffalo and cow breeze on days when the temperature drops. For crops, it is necessary to have measures to cover them with nylon or temporarily stop sowing to avoid damage caused by severe cold.
The functional sector also recommends that people closely monitor weather forecasts and proactively take appropriate cold prevention measures to ensure health, protect production and livestock in the coming days.
