At around 0:12 on August 28, the Command Information Center - Hanoi City Police received a report of a fire at a factory divided into small kiosks on Tan Trieu Moi Street, Thanh Liet Ward, Hanoi City.
As soon as it received the information and determined that the fire could spread to the surrounding area, the Command Information Center urgently dispatched 2 command vehicles and 9 fire trucks from 5 units, including: Fire Prevention and Rescue Team No. 4, 12, 13, 31 and Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of PCCC University and 60 officers and soldiers to the scene to organize fire fighting and rescue.
Along with that, the leaders of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department mobilized central duty, 2 command vehicles, 1 truck carrying vehicles and went directly to the scene to direct fire fighting and rescue work.


When the fire broke out, it was determined that the fire had a complicated development, contained many flammable materials, generated a lot of toxic smoke and was likely to spread to neighboring areas. The Fire Fighting & Rescue Command directed the deployment of reconnaissance teams, attacked the fire area, promptly prevented the fire from spreading to surrounding areas; at the same time, mobilized excavators to demolish collapsed structures, opening a path for the fire prevention and fighting force to get inside to organize extinguishing the fire.


After a period of firefighting efforts and support from the masses, at around 0:53, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force controlled the fire, and at around 1:42 a.m. on August 28, the fire was basically completely extinguished, the units continued to destroy and cool the construction components, thereby the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force protected and prevented the fire from spreading to thousands of square meters of neighboring buildings and houses.
The fire did not cause any human casualties, the cause is being investigated by the authorities.
