A fire broke out at a fluorescent light bulb factory on Binh Long Street, Binh Hung Hoa Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, at around 0:00 on the morning of August 22. The fire quickly spread, creating a giant column of black smoke rising high.

Upon receiving the news, the Ho Chi Minh City Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force mobilized 15 specialized vehicles and more than 50 officers and soldiers to the scene. A woman trapped inside was brought out safely by firefighters and was given immediate medical attention.
At the scene, firefighters had to use hammers to break the wall to escape the smoke and approach the fire from many directions. The terrible heat caused the factory's corrugated iron roof to bend, while the fire inside was still bright red. Worried that the fire could spread to neighboring houses, many people proactively used water to spray on the walls of their houses to cool them down.

The fire was completely controlled at 2:30 a.m. Fortunately, the fire did not cause any human casualties. The cause and damage to property are currently being investigated and clarified by the authorities.
