At the 30th meeting of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission concluded on reviewing the inspection results when there were signs of violations related to the Phuoc Dong housing project in Phuoc Dong commune (Nha Trang) invested by Quoc Han Company Limited.
According to the conclusion of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission, 5 cadres and party members were inspected and considered for signs of violations in the above project, including Mr. Nguyen Sy Khanh - Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Khanh Hoa province (former Chairman of Nha Trang City);
Mr. Le Dai Duong - Vice Chairman of Nha Trang City (former Head of Technical and Construction Quality Department of the Department of Construction); Mr. Nguyen Van Son - former Deputy Director of the Department of Construction;
Mr. Nguyen Chi Danh - Director of Nha Trang Construction Project Management Board and Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong - Party member of Nha Trang City Land Fund Development Center. These two people were former Heads and officers of Nha Trang City Department of Natural Resources and Environment.
The Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission requested the above 5 officials to seriously review and learn from their shortcomings and shortcomings in advising and organizing the implementation of the Phuoc Dong housing project in Nha Trang City.
Phuoc Dong Housing Project has been implemented for 20 years but is behind schedule.
In a report sent to voters, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province said that in February 2024, the Department of Planning and Investment issued a document reviewing the legal basis for adjusting the Phuoc Dong Housing Project.
Through review, the Department of Planning and Investment found that the Phuoc Dong Housing Project has an area that is not in accordance with the construction planning.
Currently, the Project to Adjust the General Planning of Nha Trang City to 2040 has been approved by the Prime Minister; Nha Trang City People's Committee is implementing the project to Adjust the Zoning Plan (scale 1/2,000) of Phuoc Dong Commune Residential Area.
At the same time, with the Phuoc Dong Housing Project, Khanh Hoa Provincial Police are in the process of investigating and resolving criminal information on compliance with land law regulations. The investigation is based on decisions of the police agency such as Decision No. 81 of 2021 and Decision No. 113 of 2022 to resume investigation; Decision No. 03 of 2022 to request appraisal.
Therefore, consideration for permission to continue implementing the Phuoc Dong Housing Project can only be carried out after the adjusted plans are approved by competent authorities, synchronized with the plans and have the opinion of the Investigation Police Agency.
