Provincial Party Secretary Le Minh Ngan requested all levels and sectors to fully prepare conditions for the 2026-2027 school year, and at the same time emphasized the view of "resolutely not letting any students drop out of school due to difficult circumstances".
On the morning of July 8, the Standing Committee of Lai Chau Provincial Party Committee held a conference to listen to the Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee report on the implementation of resolutions of the Central Government and the province on education development, associated with the preparation for the new school year 2026-2027.
According to the report, in the 2026-2027 school year, the whole province is expected to have 332 schools with 5,192 classes and more than 150,400 students.
The province is accelerating the progress of investment and renovation of 22 school projects, in which it strives to complete 5 inter-level boarding schools in border communes before August 30, 2026 to put them into use immediately in the new school year.
According to the report at the conference, from July 2025 to now, the Lai Chau Provincial Party Committee has issued a thematic Resolution and important policies.

The Provincial People's Council and People's Committee issued 11 legal normative documents to create a synchronous legal corridor; the budget for education is guaranteed, accounting for 42% of the total local budget expenditure in 2026.
Concluding the conference, Provincial Party Secretary Le Minh Ngan requested localities to proactively prepare schools, teaching staff, textbooks and policies to support students, ensuring the safe and practical organization of the new school year opening ceremony.
The comrade requested to complete the recruitment of the remaining teacher payroll shortage before August 15; strengthen the mobilization and rotation of teachers, and overcome the local teacher shortage situation.
Along with that, strictly control tuition fees at the beginning of the school year, strictly handle the situation of overcharging and forcing tutoring and extra classes.
In particular, Lai Chau Provincial Party Secretary Le Minh Ngan emphasized the requirement that Party committees and authorities must consider education as a central political task, mobilize all resources to care for students, and resolutely not let any students drop out of school due to difficult circumstances.
