On November 27, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee informed that the locality is focusing on spending support resources from the central and local governments to ensure timely and appropriate support for people to overcome the consequences of floods and soon stabilize their lives.
For houses with severe damage (76 houses), Lam Dong is conducting a survey and building new houses for people with a support level of 120 million VND/house and is expected to complete repairs and construction before January 31, 2026.
Regarding education, schools in the area have been cleaned, disinfected the environment and quickly returned to normal operations.
Compensation training plans are flexibly built. In particular, psychological counseling work, support for textbooks and learning materials have been implemented promptly, ensuring that no child lacks classes or schools.
In terms of health, the epidemic situation has been strictly controlled. Medical units use all chemicals and medicines to prevent epidemics after natural disasters.
Monitoring the environment, water resources, and food safety is strictly implemented to prevent the risk of disease outbreaks.
Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee said that in the past time, it has received deep attention from the Politburo, the Secretariat, the Prime Minister, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the timely support of other provinces (Quang Ninh, Nghe An...), benefactors and localities in the province who have not suffered any damage...
Thanks to that, the work of ensuring the lives, health and livelihoods of the people is given the highest priority, not leaving people without housing, not allowing hunger and cold to occur. At the same time, ensure that students have all the conditions to study, and that no student lacks classes or schools.
For houses with a slightly damaged level, the locality is mobilizing military, police, and youth forces to repair and overcome them to ensure safe housing and stabilize people's lives before November 30.
Regarding the 500 billion VND budget supported by the Central Government, the locality will allocate and organize direct disbursement to the people and localities affected, ensuring the right beneficiaries, the right purpose, and timely disbursement as soon as possible.
Along with financial support, Lam Dong province has also completed the allocation of 1,000 tons of rice support from national reserves to people in 40 localities in the area affected by floods.
According to the latest statistics, the recent flood caused heavy damage in Lam Dong, killing 5 people, injuring 1 person, and affecting more than 2,843 households.
The whole province has over 4,570 hectares of crops, 1.2 hectares of seafood and about 9,000 livestock and poultry damaged. Lam Dong province also recorded 266 landslides, many traffic routes were cut off, the total estimated damage was more than 1,200 billion VND.
