On July 20, the Department of Home Affairs of Lam Dong province said that it had reviewed current regulations and assessed the necessity and feasibility of organizing working sessions on Saturdays every week in the area and made proposals to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
According to the Department of Home Affairs, work pressure is currently locally concentrated in some key areas such as land, public investment, urban management - construction, justice, citizen reception and vehicle registration.
In which, land dossiers such as transfer, donation, mortgage, exchange, inheritance always account for a large number at the one-stop-shop department. The need for vehicle registration is also increasing rapidly, easily leading to overload if only resolved within 5 working days a week.
The Department of Home Affairs has consulted the organization of working on Saturdays every week in Ho Chi Minh City. This locality only organizes working on Saturday mornings in some fields and areas with large population, many industrial parks, and a large number of arising dossiers, instead of deploying them simultaneously.
The Department of Home Affairs of Lam Dong province believes that the organization of working on Saturdays every week must be based on actual data on administrative procedure dossiers received at the Provincial and Commune-level Public Administrative Service Centers, especially in areas with high demand such as land, urban areas, certification and civil status.
Therefore, the Department of Home Affairs proposed that the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assign the Office of the Provincial People's Committee to take the lead in reviewing and carefully statistics before advising on implementation plans.
The assessment needs to clarify which areas really need to be worked on every Saturday, which areas have high demand, which administrative procedures are accepted and where they do not need to be applied due to the low number of dossiers generated. This ensures compliance with the actual needs of people, businesses and localities.
If implemented, officials, civil servants, and public employees working on Saturdays every week will be arranged for compensatory leave and paid overtime allowances according to regulations.
