At about 8 am on July 21, people discovered black smoke billowing from a 4-story house located in a small alley on Quang Trung street, Go Vap ward, so they shouted and together tried to put out the fire. However, the fire quickly flared up fiercely, due to encountering flammable materials, creating a column of black smoke rising high.

According to witnesses at the scene, at the time of the incident, the house was out of power, smoke plus a burning smell was rising. Seeing smoke and fire coming from the ground floor, this person quickly shouted to alert the rooms inside the house to escape.
Due to the large fire and black smoke blocking the entire entrance to the ground floor, people inside could not move out the main door. To escape, the victims had to rush to the balcony area, then climb over to the roofs of adjacent households to escape safely. It is known that the house where the fire occurred is being used for rent.

Upon receiving the emergency report, the Fire and Rescue Police force (Ho Chi Minh City Police) quickly dispatched many specialized fire trucks and officers and soldiers to urgently approach the scene to deploy fire fighting and rescue plans.

Recorded at the scene, the fire was completely controlled by functional forces 15 minutes later, preventing the risk of fire spreading to surrounding houses.

Currently, the cause of the fire as well as the extent of damage are being further investigated and clarified by functional forces.
