On August 1, talking to Lao Dong, Mr. Phan Van Cuong - Vice Chairman of Van Canh District People's Committee ( Binh Dinh ) - said that this locality has worked with Binh Dinh Electricity Company to agree on an investment plan. Construction of power supply project for Canh Tien village (Canh Lien commune, Van Canh district).
"This village has 161 households. The electricity source these households have been using for a long time is from solar power sources and dynamos (generators), which are not stable. This is only a temporary solution for the households. There is electricity in the village, when there is no electricity from the national grid ," Mr. Cuong said.
According to Mr. Cuong, investment in construction of the power supply project for Canh Tien village is expected to be implemented at the end of 2024 and completed and put into use in August 2025.
The total length of the 22kV power line is more than 12km and will pass through Canh Hiep and Canh Lien communes, of which nearly 4km will go through natural forests. The implementation budget is nearly 15 billion VND arranged by the Central Power Corporation. The locality will be responsible for compensation and site clearance.
It is known that Canh Tien is a village located about 70km from Quy Nhon city center, almost isolated from outside life. The majority of households living in the village are Ba Na ethnic people. This is also a difficult village, lacking electricity and clean water.
According to local people, there are only two ways to get to this village, one is the river road, the other is the mountain road. On the river route, you have to go by boat more than 10km across Nui Mot Lake, and on the mountain route, you have to walk through the middle of the forest for about 3 hours.
