Lang Son Provincial People's Committee assigned Huu Lien commune to be the investor of the project to ensure electricity supply to operate telecommunications equipment in Lan Dat hamlet, Lan Chau village, with the goal of covering communication before the 2026 rainy and storm season.
Lan Dat is a small village of the Dao people, located near the Dong Lam prairie, but almost isolated from the outside because it is surrounded by cat ear rocky mountains.
The road to the village must follow the rugged mountainside, through many steep sections, sharp cliffs and curves.
People and tourists cannot travel by motorized vehicles, but must walk through forests and mountains for 30 minutes to an hour depending on their physical strength.
In return, this place maintains a quiet, fresh space, with almost no noise of vehicles or dust. However, the rugged terrain also makes access to communication difficult, especially during the rainy and storm season or when an emergency situation occurs.
According to the direction of the Provincial People's Committee, Huu Lien commune will carry out investment procedures to build a project to ensure electricity supply to operate telecommunications equipment in Lan Dat hamlet, ensuring thrift, efficiency and compliance with legal regulations.
The Department of Finance is assigned to advise on allocating about 400 million VND from the provincial budget reserve in 2026 for Huu Lien commune to implement the project.
In the immediate future, this agency will allocate 70% of the total funding needs for the project to be started soon.
The Department of Science and Technology shall take the lead in monitoring, urging and summarizing the implementation situation, and promptly report to the Provincial People's Committee on arising difficulties and obstacles.
Meanwhile, Viettel Lang Son and Lang Son Telecommunications are responsible for preparing equipment, being ready to install telecommunications systems, and providing internet immediately after having power. These two units also coordinate to determine electricity demand, connect equipment, and ensure service maintenance for at least one year.
Lang Son Power Company is requested to assign a focal point to support the locality with technical plans, guidance and coordinate supervision of the construction investment process.
The Provincial People's Committee requests relevant agencies and units to coordinate implementation to complete the installation of the power source system and communication coverage in Lan Dat hamlet before the 2026 rainy and storm season.
According to the province, this is to meet the essential communication needs of the people, and at the same time serve disaster prevention and control, rescue and relief in the area.
