Information from Lang Son Provincial People's Committee said that from July to the end of September, Hung Vuong street, Luong Van Tri ward, Lang Son province, will be piloted to organize weekend cultural and tourist activities according to the night pedestrian street model.
Operating space stretches from Hung Vuong - Dinh Tien Hoang intersection - Dong Kinh bridge to Hung Vuong - Da Tuong intersection.
The pedestrian street is open from 7:30 PM to 10:30 PM every Saturday, expected to open at 8:00 PM on July 11.
The highlight of the model is a series of activities with cultural characteristics of Lang Son ethnic groups.
At the central stage next to Cua Dong Temple, clubs and artisans are expected to perform folk songs, folk dances, traditional musical instruments, ethnic costumes and Chau Van performances.

A side stage is arranged at Chi Lang Park, opposite Cua Dong Post Office. This area is equipped with miniatures, lighting systems, and is used flexibly as a real-scene stage for mass art programs.
Along the street, music groups and clubs can organize instrumental performances, art dances, and street music performances. People and tourists are encouraged to participate in exchanges, instead of just watching performances on a fixed stage.
Folk culture experience space includes grass diving, tug-of-war, stick pushing, blindfolded drumming, sạp dance and ô ăn quan.
Campfire activities can be organized if they are suitable for actual conditions, ensuring fire prevention and fighting requirements and environmental sanitation.
Programs to learn about geological heritage and indigenous culture are also included in the pedestrian street, targeting students and tourists.
This content is associated with promoting UNESCO Lang Son Global Geopark, cave system, heritage sites and tourist routes in the geopark area.
About 10-20 mobile booths are arranged to display and sell OCOP products, traditional handicrafts, souvenirs and street food. Localities in the province can introduce agricultural products, products, publications and typical tourism products.
In the check-in area, visitors can access tourist maps, QR codes to look up information, videos, digital publications and tours and routes of Lang Son. Images of scenic spots, caves and heritage sites are used as miniatures for photography.
During the operation period, vehicles are prohibited from passing through the pedestrian street area. Barricades are placed at the Hung Vuong - Dinh Tien Hoang - Dong Kinh bridge intersection, Hung Vuong - Da Tuong intersection and Hung Vuong - Mai The Chuan intersection.
The parking lot is arranged at Chi Lang Park, but there is no security guard, and people have to preserve their vehicles themselves.
According to Lang Son Provincial People's Committee, the model aims to create a place for community cultural activities, promote local identity, and promote services, tourism and nighttime economy. After three months of piloting, the operational efficiency will be evaluated for research and maintenance or expansion.
