In the afternoon of September 19, on Tran Hoang Na street (Tan An ward, Can Tho city), a construction site experienced an incident of scaffolding collapse.
According to people around the scene, at about 1:45 pm, a loud noise occurred, then scaffolding was discovered at a house combined with an office building collapsing.

Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Thai Bao - Vice Chairman of Tan An Ward People's Committee (Can Tho City) - said that after receiving the news, the People's Committee directed functional sectors to go to the scene to coordinate in handling the incident and regulating traffic.
The Vice Chairman of Tan An Ward People's Committee also informed that the project where the incident occurred is a house combined with rent, licensed to build a 6-story scale. However, at the time of the incident, the project had just been constructed to the 2nd floor when the scaffolding collapsed. The incident occurred after the project had just completed concrete pouring. The scaffolding collapse injured 3 people.
According to reporters' records, a part of the construction site collapsed, many concrete slabs, scaffolding and steel reinforcement systems were scattered. A series of iron bars were bent and extended to the road surface; the tarpaulin canopy was also pulled down, covering the area where the incident occurred.
Currently, the cause of the incident is being verified and clarified by functional agencies.
