On the afternoon of September 15, the Can Tho City Party Committee organized a Conference to seek opinions on the draft dossier of the General Planning of Can Tho City to 2050, with a vision to 2075.
According to the consulting unit, after listening to the comments, functional agencies are currently reviewing two options for arranging a new administrative center in the Tay Do Cultural Center area (along the Can Tho River) and the area south of the western ring road (west of Le Duc Tho street).
Mr. Truong Canh Tuyen - Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee said that the consultant assessed that the plan to arrange a new administrative center in the Tay Do Cultural Center area has outstanding overall advantages in terms of centrality and connectivity, suitable for priority research.
However, according to Mr. Tuyen, this is just a suggestion from consultants, not yet the chosen option. The arrangement of the administrative - political center must also be implemented according to the policy of competent authorities and legal regulations on the management and use of public assets.
