The Lao Cai Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board has just announced a bidding package for the construction of the Provincial Road Renovation and Upgrade 154, Ta Thang - Coc Ly Intersection (old Bac Ha District).
Accordingly, the project to renovate and upgrade provincial road 154 section Ta Thang - Coc Ly intersection (Km90+000 - Km95+500, corresponding to the old Km88+000 - Km93+500 DT.154) was approved in Decision No. 2505 dated June 30, 2025 of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee.
This project belongs to group C, a level IV traffic project (car road), with a total investment of 60 billion VND, invested by the Lao Cai Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board.
This construction package is widely invited for public bidding online, with an estimated construction value of more than 44 billion VND, capital sourced from the provincial budget. According to the investor's bidding documents, the investment scope of Provincial Road 154 has a total length of about 5.5km; starting point at Km90+00 (equivalent to Km88+00 old route) in Bao Nhai commune; ending point Km95+609.76 (equivalent to Km93+500 old route) in Bao Nhai commune.
The package will implement the construction of renovation and upgrading items such as: roadbed, road surface; intersection, level crossing, turn; drainage system; protective works; traffic safety system and road markers.
The progress of the entire above package is 540 (from the effective date of the contract). The construction's design term is 15 years.
The project is invested with the goal of completing the main traffic infrastructure system of the entire provincial road, drainage infrastructure, and auxiliary items to complete and improve the quality of the infrastructure system, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of the locality, increasing regional linkages and meeting the travel and living needs of the people.
