According to research, the new headquarters of the Bao Thang District Administrative Center (now Bao Thang Commune) was built on the old headquarters.
The architectural scale of the office is 15 stories high, with 3 floors of the base and 12 floors of the tower, the construction area is 3,370m2, the total floor area is 13,591m2. The investment cost of the project is 200 billion VND, with the old Bao Thang District Investment and Construction Project Management Board as the investor's representative.
The project is undertaken by a joint venture of Dong A Import-Export Production Joint Stock Company, 19-18 Construction Company Limited, Hong River Electromechanical Construction and Installation Joint Stock Company and Tinh Tho - Dys mid-diseasectrification Company Limited.
The project uses modern materials and lines in line with the world's development trend.
The 15-storey tower block is the workplace of functional departments and offices. The 3-storey base block has a 500-seat hall and reception and traditional rooms... The 5-storey guest house and dining block includes a service area, dining room and about 30 rooms.
At the time of recording, at the construction site, workers were carrying out construction activities and transporting materials to the project's floors. At the same time, the building is still being paved with walls and roughly built.
However, at the construction site, the equipment of protective equipment and labor safety for workers has not been guaranteed, such as lack of helmets, lack of safety belts for workers at the elevated level...
Regarding this, Mr. Do Dinh Hai - Supervisor - Lao Cai Industrial Consulting Company Limited admitted - there are cases where workers are not fully equipped and do not ensure labor safety.
According to Mr. Hai, these errors are entirely due to workers and laborers. Because when the unit goes to inspect, the workers will be equipped with protective gear. But after checking, they dropped it.
"Every day, we still check the workers to see if labor safety has been ensured or not. Equipping safety helmets and shirts, working at a height of 2m or more must have a seat belt and be reminded regularly. The problem of workers not being equipped with enough protective equipment may be due to not being able to check closely, so such a situation has occurred," Mr. Do Dinh Hai explained.
According to the Bao Thang Construction Investment Project Management Board, the completion and handover of the new administrative center to use in 2025 is very difficult due to many unfinished items, especially the interior packages that are still waiting for approval.
However, the construction unit will speed up the construction process, trying to basically complete the project soon.
Speaking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Deputy Director of the Bao Thang Construction Investment Project Management Board Vu Hong Ha said: "The commune administrative department is currently entering the completion stage. In the coming time, we will increase labor and equipment to speed up the progress. Expected to be put into use in the first quarter of 2026.
