In the afternoon of June 19, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh - Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting to review the preparations for the Lao Cai Provincial Investment Promotion Conference in 2026.
According to the plan, the conference with the theme "Lao Cai - Connecting Development - Green and Sustainable", will be held at the Lao Cai Provincial Convention Center (Yen Bai ward).
This is an important event to promote the potential, advantages, investment environment and new development space of the locality to the business community and domestic and foreign investors.
Through the conference, Lao Cai province focuses on attracting investment in fields such as green agriculture, processing and manufacturing industry, renewable energy, logistics, urban development according to the TOD model along the high-speed railway line, ecotourism and resorts.
In addition to the official session, many investment promotion activities, tourism promotion, business dialogue, field surveys at industrial parks and clusters and the groundbreaking ceremony of Phu Thinh 3 Industrial Cluster will be organized.
It is expected that the conference will welcome leaders of the Government, ministries, central agencies, representatives of diplomatic missions of some countries and many large corporations and businesses such as Vingroup, Sun Group, FPT, Viglacera, Shinec and domestic and international investors.
Concluding the meeting, the Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee requested agencies and units to urgently complete the assigned tasks, prepare carefully for organization, reception, logistics, communication and reception of delegates, ensuring the conference takes place professionally and effectively, creating a good impression on investors.
Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh also assigned units to build a set of investment promotion materials, multilingual tourism handbooks integrated with QR codes and feature films introducing the potential and advantages of the locality to serve the conference.
