On June 27, according to information from Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV), at the Long Thanh airport project site, ACV and the Project Management Board and construction units are focusing manpower, machinery and equipment, urgently deploying installation and completing the ceiling system in many areas of the terminal.
According to ACV, the construction work is carried out strictly and synchronously with electromechanical and architectural items, ensuring technical requirements, quality, and labor safety. Each stage is carefully controlled, ensuring accuracy, aesthetics and the set schedule, gradually shaping the modern and synchronous architectural space of Long Thanh airport passenger terminal.
According to ACV, package 5.10 construction of Long Thanh airport passenger terminal will be technically operational in September 2026.
This is a bidding package belonging to Component Project 3 - Long Thanh Airport Project phase 1.
The entire component project 3 of Long Thanh airport has 15 main construction packages (currently 3 packages have been completed and 12 packages are under construction).
In which, package 5.10, construction and installation of passenger terminal equipment, the project is likened to the "heart" of Long Thanh airport, and this package is also the deciding link for the progress of the entire project.
The bidding package is constructed by Vietur consortium, started in July 2023, with a contract value of more than 35,000 billion VND.
Up to now, the contractor consortium has mobilized thousands of personnel, machinery and equipment to deploy construction, basically completing the reinforced concrete structure, steel roof structure, and glass wall elevation.
According to ACV, contractors are simultaneously accelerating, organizing "3 shifts, 4 crews" day and night, and at the same time responding to the emulation period "180 days and nights to accelerate the completion of the Long Thanh International Airport Project". After nearly 3 weeks of campaign implementation, component project 3 has a total production value of about 65,602 billion VND, equivalent to 75.97% of the total value of signed contracts.
Regarding construction resources, the construction site currently maintains an average of more than 7,300 direct workers, an increase of about 4.54% compared to the beginning of the campaign.
Previously, on June 13, Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh and the working delegation inspected the actual progress of the Long Thanh airport project and requested the parties to review the entire construction volume, settlement documents, and at the same time pay attention to caring for and encouraging the team of engineers and workers who are sticking to the construction site day and night.
According to the schedule, the Long Thanh airport project will be put into operation by the end of 2026.

The Long Thanh International Airport project was approved for investment policy by the National Assembly in Resolution No. 94/2015/QH13 dated June 25, 2015, with the goal of building a modern international airport, playing an important aviation gateway for Vietnam and gradually becoming an aviation transshipment hub of the region. According to the plan, the project will reach level 4F according to the standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), with a capacity of 100 million passengers and 5 million tons of cargo per year when fully completed, and will be implemented in 3 investment phases.
The Long Thanh International Airport phase 1 project is adjusted in the direction of synchronous completion with a scale including 2 runways, 1 passenger terminal and related auxiliary works; the goal is to be completed by the end of 2026.
