According to Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV), the entire component project 3 of Long Thanh airport has 15 main construction packages (currently 3 packages have been completed and 12 packages are under construction).
In which, package 5.10, construction and installation of passenger terminal equipment, the project is likened to the "heart" of Long Thanh airport, and at the same time this package is also the deciding link for the progress of the entire project.
Package 5. 10 construction and installation of equipment for the Long Thanh airport passenger terminal project is constructed by Vietur consortium, started in July 2023.
Up to now, the contractor consortium has mobilized thousands of personnel, machinery and equipment to deploy construction, basically completing the reinforced concrete structure, steel roof structure, and glass wall elevation.
The construction of plastering, waterproofing, foundation rolling, floor surface finishing, water-painting tile tiles are expected to be completed in May 2026; stone and plaster wall finishing work is completed in July 2026; ceiling, roof, glass wall, and exterior stone finishing work are expected to be completed in June 2026.
The work of the station roof and Skylight lighting roof was basically completed in March.
Electricity, water, and air conditioning systems are deployed on the floors according to a rolling plan, meeting the progress.
Regarding equipment installation, the station is deploying the installation of luggage processing system (BHS), security scanning equipment (SSE), passenger bridge system (PBB), aircraft landing system (VDGS), escalator system, staircase (ES/MW), and elevator system (EL).
According to ACV, the component project 3 of Long Thanh airport to date assesses overall progress, completing the technical operation target in September 2026 and organizing commercial operation in the fourth quarter of 2026 is feasible.
