Functional agencies will restrict waterway traffic on the Red River and Duong River to serve the festival.
According to the Northern Maritime and Waterway Sub-Department, in the last days of March and early April 2026, many inland waterway traffic routes in the Northern region will be restricted to serve festivals during the Binh Ngo spring of 2026.
Specifically, on March 26 and March 28, traffic will be restricted on the national inland waterway route of the Duong River to serve the organization of annual traditional festivals in Phuc Loi ward, Hanoi City. The scope of traffic restrictions is in areas with inland waterway routes from Km53+500 to Km55+500.
Also on March 28, inland waterway traffic will be restricted in the area with a route from about Km35+300 to Km36+200 on the national inland waterway route of the Thuong River, serving the organization of annual traditional festivals in Da Mai ward, Bac Ninh province.
In addition, on March 27 and from April 1 to April 3, traffic will be restricted on the national inland waterway route of the Red River to serve the organization of annual traditional festivals in Bat Trang commune, Hanoi City.
The scope of traffic restriction is the area with a distance of about from Km172+000 to Km174+000 and from Km174+000 to Km177+000 on the national inland waterway route of the Red River.
In which, restrictions on channel blocking have been announced through the festival area on the Red River, from Km172+000 to Km174+000 on March 27. On days from April 1 to April 3, channel blocking will be restricted from Km174+000 to Km177+000.
The management agency also said that on April 5 and April 25, traffic will be restricted on the national inland waterway of the Duong River to serve the organization of annual traditional festivals in Viet Hung ward, Hanoi City.
Specifically, on April 5th, limit the traffic flow through the festival area on the Duong River from Km55+500 to Km59+000; on April 25th, limit from Km59+000 to Km61+000.
Captains and drivers of waterway vehicles are advised to obey the orders of functional forces, proactively learn about channel conditions, and choose appropriate directions to ensure safety and smooth traffic. At the same time, strictly comply with the Law on Inland Waterway Traffic.
