In the days leading up to Binh Ngo Tet 2026, the horse mascot placed at the three-girl monument roundabout in Soc Trang ward (Can Tho city) has officially been revealed, attracting the attention of people and tourists when traveling through the gateway to the center of Soc Trang city (former Soc Trang province).
The two horse mascots are more than 2 meters tall, creating a strong stretch, symbolizing the spirit of breakthrough in the new year.

Mr. Cao Minh Man in My Tu commune (Can Tho City) said that when he heard that the horse mascot had been decorated at the 3-girl monument roundabout, he took his family to admire it. According to him, the horse model is designed sophisticatedly, beautifully, closely, with vivid patterns. Both of his daughters like it very much.

Mr. Trung Thanh - representative of the design unit - said that the idea was developed based on the harmony of the three cultures of Kinh - Khmer - Hoa, expressed through the system of patterns on the horse's body and surrounding miniature landscapes. The entire construction process was carried out in about 2 weeks to keep up with the progress to serve people celebrating spring.
The mascot is constructed using iron frame techniques combined with 3D sculptural foam. After completing the shaping, the surface is treated to be smooth and meticulously painted according to the design, helping the model achieve sharpness and vividness.

The highlight of this year's mascot is the pattern system directly expressed on the horse's body. The raised borders combined with yellow, red, and blue colors create a prominent visual effect but still harmonize with the overall look.
Other auxiliary details such as banh chung, apricot blossoms, peach blossoms, red watermelons, coins, gold bars, decorative lanterns are arranged harmoniously, sending wishes for prosperity and peace.

Prominent at the roundabout is also a cluster of miniatures of horse family on Tet. Soft shaping, gentle eyes and delicate floral details help the mascot cluster exude a familiar look. Not only symbolizing proliferation and development, the image of the horse family also sends a message about family affection, cohesion and complete happiness.

According to Soc Trang Ward People's Committee (Can Tho City), the 3 Girls' Monument roundabout area is arranged with 6 decorative clusters, including 1 main gate, 2 auxiliary clusters and 3 flower boat clusters. This is a familiar highlight every Tet holiday, attracting people and tourists to visit and take photos, contributing to creating spring travel space and improving community spiritual life.

Representatives of the construction unit said that this year the roundabout area was renewed by displaying rice interspersed with flowers. About 1,600 rice pots were mobilized to serve decoration. From the 20th day of the lunar month, rice began to be transported to the roundabout to complete decoration.

According to the construction unit, this is a collaboration idea between the design unit and the local government to create a new highlight, bringing rural colors instead of the familiar flower decoration form of previous years.

Currently, the rice is in the ripening stage. Thanks to the supplementation of soil and water, the rice still grows normally as when planted in the field, ensuring display time throughout the Tet peak season.
Bach Dang Square (Phu Loi ward, Can Tho city) is also decorated with miniatures to serve people celebrating spring.

The highlight in this area is two horse mascots designed in a simple style, not too fussy about patterns but prominent with the dominant red color - a color symbolizing luck and fortune at the beginning of the year. The neat shape and clear lines help the mascots to be easily observed from afar, suitable for the open square space.

The miniature landscape space is harmoniously arranged with decorative lighting systems and spring flower clusters, creating a stopover and photo spot for people during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026.
