According to observations, the snake mascot here wears a laurel wreath, has big round eyes, a pursed mouth, and a tail decorated with a sunflower to wish for luck, happiness, and to express the desire to rise.
The snake's body is decorated with a number of gold coins, symbolizing the desire for wealth and prosperity.
Right from the moment the mascot appeared, many people came to "check-in" and expressed their excitement.
"In my opinion, the snake mascot of the Year of the Snake of Nghe An province impresses with its gentle, friendly, and lovely demeanor, conveying a message of love and a desire for peace" - Mr. Nguyen Trong Hung (45 years old, residing in Hung Binh ward, Vinh city) shared.
According to the leader of the Vinh City Department of Culture and Information, workers worked continuously from the evening of January 24 to the afternoon of January 25 to complete the snake mascot, including many stages of transportation, modeling, installation of decorative lights, etc.
It is known that Nghe An's snake mascot this year is 4.4 meters tall, about 4 meters wide, with 2 main colors: turquoise and pink.
Every year on the occasion of the New Year, Nghe An province and Vinh City People's Committee build an art flower garden at Ho Chi Minh Square with many vivid themes, to create a playground for people and preserve and promote traditional cultural values.
In particular, the annual mascot is considered the highlight of the art flower garden, receiving special attention from the people.
