According to the plan, the fireworks display program on National Day September 2 will take place from 9:00 PM to 9:15 PM on September 2 at 7 locations in Ho Chi Minh City.
3 high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks locations include: the area at the beginning of the Saigon River tunnel (An Khanh ward), the New City Center (Binh Duong ward) and Tam Thang Tower Square (Vung Tau ward).
4 low-altitude fireworks display locations are arranged at Ba Ria Square Park (Ba Ria ward), Dam Sen Cultural Park (Binh Thoi ward), Saigon Marina IFC tower (Sai Gon ward) and Kim Long Villa Area, Rach Dia bridge area (Nha Be commune).
Favorable locations to watch fireworks
In the central area of Ho Chi Minh City, the shooting point at the beginning of the Saigon River tunnel is the largest in scale. People can choose Nguyen Hue pedestrian street, Ben Bach Dang Park, Ton Duc Thang street or public areas along the Saigon River to watch.
On the other side of the river, Saigon Riverside Park and some riverside areas belonging to Thu Thiem New Urban Area also have wide views towards the shooting point.
The shooting point at Saigon Marina IFC tower is located near the Ba Son area. People can refer to public spaces along Ton Duc Thang street, Ben Bach Dang Park and the riverside area near Ba Son bridge.
With the shooting point at Dam Sen Cultural Park, people in the western area of the city can buy tickets to enter the park or choose a suitable location around Hoa Binh and Lac Long Quan streets.
In the New City Center area (Binh Duong ward), people can choose space around the New City Park or surrounding areas, prioritizing places with large spaces and few high-rise buildings blocking the view.
With the shooting point at Tam Thang Tower Square, Vung Tau ward, the most convenient location is Bai Sau area and the coastal park along Thuy Van street. People can also choose coastal sections a suitable distance from the square to have a clear view and limit crowds.
Where to park, how to move?
People when traveling by motorbike to the central area can refer to parking lots in the Le Duan street area; commercial centers on Dong Khoi, Le Thanh Ton and Nam Ky Khoi Nghia streets.
People and tourists watching fireworks at Dam Sen can use the official parking lots of the park on Hoa Binh and Lac Long Quan streets.
At the remaining shooting points, vehicles should be parked at parking lots with signs, shopping centers or areas guided by functional forces; absolutely do not leave vehicles on the road, on bridges or blocking escape routes.
A more convenient option is to park at stations with parking lots and then use metro line No. 1 to the center. Passengers can get off at the City Opera House station or Ba Son station, then walk to the fireworks viewing area.
In particular, from 9 pm to 10:30 pm, the interval between Metro Line 1 trains is reduced to 5 minutes/trip. The increase in frequency aims to improve transport capacity, serving people coming and leaving fireworks viewing areas.
