Dak Lak rescue forces urgently respond to storm No. 13

Dak Lak - Immediately after storm No. 13 swept through, Dak Lak provincial rescue forces immediately deployed to affected areas to support people.

On the evening of November 6, as soon as storm No. 3 passed, the Dak Lak Provincial Forward Command Committee located in Song Cau ward immediately set out to go to deeply flooded areas, along with the "4 on-site" force to carry out rescue work and evacuate people to safety.

Initial damage was recorded in many affected areas: dozens of houses had their roofs blown off in the communes and wards of Tay Hoa, Hoa Hiep Nam, Son Thanh, Xuan Canh, Xuan Dai, Song Cau, Tuy Hoa, Binh Kien...

Of which, Xuan Lanh commune had 1 death due to house collapse; another person was injured in Binh Kien ward. Many power lines were damaged, trees fell, and flooded more than half a person in some areas.

In many localities such as Song Cau ward, Xuan Dai and neighboring areas, electricity was cut off widely after the storm.

According to records, many power lines were damaged and broken; fallen trees blocking the road, signs and corrugated iron roofs were blown away by the wind everywhere.

Some areas were deeply flooded, water rose to half a person, paralyzing traffic, and authorities had to work hard to rescue and ensure the safety of the people.

Currently, the authorities are urgently counting the damage and supporting people to overcome the consequences, ensuring the safety of life and property.

Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee - Mr. Dao My advised people to absolutely not be subjective, limit going out because many areas are still heavily flooded, strong winds, prolonged rain and the risk of electrical accidents, broken trees, and blown-off roofs.
