On the morning of August 13, at the Xuan Huong Lake National Scenic Landscape Site (Lam Dong province), a large amount of buckets and waste covered the lake surface.
According to records, garbage mainly flowed from upstream after heavy rain on the evening of August 12, causing a section of Tran Quoc Toan Street to be flooded for many hours.

As reported, on the afternoon of August 12-8, Da Lat wards (Lam Dong province) suffered a heavy rain causing serious flooding, forcing more than 40 households to urgently evacuate.
In Xuan Truong ward - Da Lat, heavy rain caused a landslide on the slope of a coffee shop in alley 108 Hung Vuong street, killing two people (one male and one female).
In addition, many roads in the center of the old Da Lat City were flooded. A person trapped in a house in an alley on Lu Gia Street was rescued safely by the police.
Immediately after the incident, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee requested departments, branches, sectors and localities to deploy many measures to review areas at risk of landslides.
Localities are required to prepare plans to evacuate and support people to leave dangerous areas.
At the same time, the Provincial People's Committee directed the drastic suspension of construction on works on steep slopes, with negative and positive slope roofs at risk of unsafety and landslides.
