Mr. Phan Cong Bang - Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Railway Management Board - said that up to now, the site clearance of Metro Line 2 (Ben Thanh - Tham Luong) has been 100% completed, with all 585/585 cases having handed over the site to the investor. On that basis, contractors are simultaneously implementing the relocation of technical infrastructure at many key locations.

As of mid-July 2025, the volume of infrastructure relocation for the entire route has reached about 60%, with an implementation value of nearly 600 billion VND. Some areas such as Dan Chu Station, Ba Queo Station, Pham Van Bach Station are complex points that need to be synchronously coordinated with many units such as electricity, water supply and drainage, telecommunications, etc.

To keep up with the progress, the Management Board will hold an operating meeting and update the construction progress every night. Some items are constructed at night to take advantage of time, reduce the impact on urban traffic and shorten the total implementation time. At construction sites, traffic police were deployed to support traffic flow, along with warning staff to ensure safety.
According to the plan, the relocation of infrastructure will be completed around December 2025, creating conditions for the simultaneous start of construction of the main packages in 2026. We have identified this as a key foundation phase of the project. Any problems beyond the authority are immediately reported for handling, not to affect the overall progress of the entire route, Mr. Phan Cong Bang emphasized.

Metro Line 2 is more than 11km long, including 10 stations (9 underground, 1 elevated), with a total investment of more than VND 47,890 billion.
