According to information from the Bai Tu Long National Park Management Board, on March 24, a resident in Dong Hai commune, Tien Yen district, discovered a monkey lost in his garden.
The family arrested and reported to the local forest rangers and handed it over to the Dong Hai Commune Police.
On March 26, Bai Tu Long National Park Management Board received this monkey.
Through inspection, this red-faced monkey (Macaca arctoides) is an endangered, precious, rare wild animal in Group IIB, protected under Decree No. 84/2021/ND-CP of the Government on Management of endangered, precious, and rare forest plants and animals.

The male monkey, weighing about 3.5 kg, is in good health and is eligible for release.
After receiving the fish, Bai Tu Long National Park Management Board released this individual to the natural forest area at about 7, Sub-zone 201, Ba Mon Island.
