The incident occurred at around 4:00 p.m. on June 8. The victim was Mr. Nguyen Van No (born in 1973, residing in Cam Thuong 2 village, Tien Tien commune, Hai Duong city).
At the time of the incident, Mr. No and his wife were gathering nylon to surround the rat when suddenly it rained heavily. While moving in the middle of the field, he was unfortunately hit by lightning. The victim was taken home by local people immediately.
Speaking to Lao Dong Newspaper, the leader of Tien Tien Commune People's Committee (Hai Duong City) said that officers of Tien Commune Health Station (Hai Duong City) arrived in time and determined that he had died at the time of being beaten by lightning. Upon receiving the information, the local authorities sent officials to visit and encourage the victim's family, and at the same time coordinated to support the funeral.
Currently, it is the time of changing seasons, often there are sudden showers accompanied by thunderstorms, especially in the late afternoon. People working outdoors need to closely monitor weather developments to promptly prevent them.
The authorities recommend that people pay special attention to extreme weather signs, especially when there is lightning, to proactively seek safe shelter and avoid unfortunate accidents.
