According to information from the Department of Foreign Affairs, on February 17, 2025, this agency received a request for support from Mr. Vo V.P. (born in 1954, residing in Phu Loc district) about his son, Mr. Vo V.C. (born in 1991), lost contact while traveling in China en route to Russia.
According to the report, Mr. V.V.C. leaving for Russia on February 12, 2025 from Noi Bai airport (Hanoi). He took flight number CZ372 of China Southern Airlines to Guangzhou (China), departing at 8:15 a.m. the same day.
However, when passing through at Guangzhou airport, Mr. C. did not board the next flight to Russia. Since then, Mr. P.'s family has lost contact with Mr. C. and suspected that he had gone missing at the Chinese airport.
Due to difficult financial conditions, the family could not find or bring their relatives back to Vietnam, so they hoped to receive support from the authorities to soon bring Mr. C. back to Vietnam.
Immediately after receiving the rescue application, the Hue City Department of Foreign Affairs requested the Phu Loc District People's Committee to work with the family to verify detailed information about the incident. At the same time, the District People's Committee needs to respond to the Department of Foreign Affairs so that this agency has a basis to coordinate with relevant parties to search for and support Vietnamese citizens who have lost contact in China.
