By 5 p.m. on November 5, heavy rain had caused flooding and localized isolation at 18 locations, isolating 941 households with nearly 3,500 people in mountainous areas of Quang Binh province.

Heavy rains also caused flooding at 53 points on the traffic route. At flooded locations, local authorities have put up warning signs, deployed guards, and absolutely do not allow people or vehicles to pass through.

To cope with the prolonged heavy rain and possible landslides, Quang Binh province has evacuated and relocated 287 households with 1,124 people to safety.

Of which, Le Thuy district relocated 75 households with 268 people; Tuyen Hoa district relocated 56 households with 191 people; Minh Hoa district relocated 156 households with 665 people.

Rising waters also left one person missing in Tuyen Hoa district after rescuing a student swept away by the water.
