Initial statistics show that Tran Yen commune has 55 hectares of rice and crops of all kinds damaged and some inter-village roads are partially flooded.
In particular, on the night of July 23, Tran Yen commune urgently evacuated 50 households with nearly 170 people living in areas at high risk of landslides to safe places.
Tran Yen also reviewed and identified 3 locations of landslides, 47 locations at risk of landslides, 12 locations at risk of flooding and 8 locations at risk of riverbank and streambank landslides.
The total number of households living in the disaster risk area is 503, of which 295 households live in the landslide risk area, 22 households are at risk of flash floods, and 158 households are at risk of flooding when the Red River reaches alert level 3.

On the morning of July 24, leaders of the Standing Committee of the Tran Yen Commune Party Committee inspected some landslides and flooding points in the area.
The Train Yen Commune PCTT-TKCN Command has put up warning signs, ropes, monitored, guided and implemented synchronous measures to prevent people and vehicles from entering dangerous areas on rivers, streams, flooded underground roads, and areas at risk of landslides.
Along with that, mobilizing 4 on-site to ensure smooth traffic in all natural disaster situations. Proactively evacuate people, state and people's property from areas at risk of flooding, where safety is not guaranteed.


From the night of July 23 to the early morning of July 24, there was prolonged heavy rain in Luong Thinh commune, with measured rainfall of up to 161.2 mm.
According to statistics in the commune, heavy rain caused 7 households to be flooded and mud; 4 electric poles to fall and tilted; 5 meters of electricity meters of households in Tran Hung village were flooded, causing danger; 20m of fence of Hung Thinh Primary and Secondary School collapsed.
Traffic infrastructure is also severely affected. National Highway 37 through Village 4 was eroded with a length of 55m.
Heavy rain affected 5.9 hectares of rice and crops, of which flash floods on 1 hectare of rice buried 0.4 hectares, flooded 5.45 hectares and 1 buffalo was swept away by the flood.


On the night of July 23, the Steering Committee for Flood and Storm Prevention and Control of Luong Thinh commune directed 100% of members, police, military and shock forces to support the evacuation of 70 households at risk of flooding and landslides to safe places.
In Gia Hoi commune, the authorities also supported people to move their homes from dangerous areas to safe places.
