According to the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of Thanh Hoa province, as of the evening of July 24, floods and rains had caused landslides on many traffic routes, causing damage to people's housing projects. and many agricultural production areas were flooded.
On national highways through the province, positive slope landslides and rolling stones occurred at 50 locations, negative slope landslides occurred at 3 locations with a length of 40m.
For provincial roads, landslides are positive at 54 locations on routes DT.521, DT.521D, DT.521E, DT.530, Pu Nhi - Muong Chanh; border patrol route; siltation of road surfaces, ditches, and culverts at 81 locations.
Floods caused many houses to be damaged, including Muong Lat district (4 houses), Quan Son district (6 houses), Quan Hoa district (9 houses and 2 temporary tents).
Regarding agricultural production, more than 321 hectares of rice were flooded and damaged. Of which, Muong Lat has 13.7 hectares; Nga Son 247.4 hectares; Bim Son 44.5ha, Ba Thuoc 2.5ha; Quan Son 6.8ha, Quan Hoa 6.4ha.
In Quan Hoa district, Lop Han dam was damaged; 16 waterwheels along Khiet stream, Hien Chung commune were swept away. In Quan Son district, there is a 20m embankment protecting the stream bank in Sa Na village that has peeled off. The cultural house of Xop Huoi village, Na Meo commune, suffered landslides.
Quan Hoa, Muong Lat and Ba Thuoc districts proactively evacuated 51 households/220 people living in areas at risk of being affected by natural disasters to safe places (In which: Quan Hoa 12 households/50 people; Muong Lat 38 households/164 people; Ba Thuoc 1 household/6 people).
