New village, first spring
During the Tet holiday of At Ty 2025, the atmosphere in resettlement areas is more bustling than ever. Many families welcome the spring for the first time in well-built billion-dollar houses located in areas with beautiful terrain and convenient transportation.
In the resettlement area of Nong Truong Viet Trung town (Bo Trach district, Quang Binh province), new houses are planned synchronously, creating a modern resettlement area. Bright red roofs, clean concrete roads and shops starting to bustle with Tet atmosphere, all create a completely new look, marking the transformation of the people after a period of relocation to make way for the highway project.
Mr. Nguyen Khanh (71 years old) happily shared that his family was compensated 4.8 billion VND, and he used more than 1.4 billion VND to build a new, spacious house.
This year, he is very happy to celebrate Tet in a spacious house with full facilities, with all his children and grandchildren gathered together. He bought two kumquat trees to decorate the house, creating a bustling spring atmosphere.
Resettlement - a better new life
Up to now, the North-South Expressway project passing through Quang Binh has completed site clearance, ensuring construction progress. To implement the project, about 3,772 households in the province were affected, of which 551 households had to be resettled. Authorities at all levels have made efforts to propagate, mobilize, and ensure the principle of "new housing is better than or equal to the old housing" so that people can settle down with peace of mind.
Thanks to reasonable support policies and consensus of the people, the resettlement areas not only have spacious houses but also have synchronous infrastructure investment. Wide roads, full electricity and water supply, and airy living space help people quickly adapt to the new environment.
Along with the newly built houses, the spring atmosphere is also more bustling with the vibrant colors of flowers. People here are enjoying the first Tet season with joy and excitement as they enter a new and promising journey.
The North-South Eastern Expressway Project for the 2021-2025 period, the section through Quang Binh, has a total length of 126.43km, passing through 6 districts, towns, cities and 35 communes and wards. The formation of this vital route not only contributes to changing the face of traffic infrastructure but also opens up opportunities for economic, tourism and trade development for the locality.
This spring, with new roofs, new roads and new lives, people in resettlement areas not only celebrate a complete Tet but also look forward to a brighter future, accompanying the development of their homeland.
