As of 11pm on January 30 (the second day of Tet), Thu Dau Mot City Police, Binh Duong Province were still examining the scene and investigating the accident.
The accident occurred at around 9:30 p.m. the same day on National Highway 13, passing through Suoi Giua toll station in Dinh Hoa ward, Thu Dau Mot city, Binh Duong province.
Initial information, at the above time, the sleeper bus was traveling from Ho Chi Minh City to Binh Duong.
Just after passing the Suoi Giua toll station to the intersection with Nguyen Chi Thanh street, an accident happened with an electric bicycle. The consequence was that a girl about 15-17 years old died on the spot.
At the scene, the victim's body was found lying next to the electric bicycle. The bus moved forward about 10 meters and then stopped.
The accident left many passengers in a state of panic. The passengers were transferred to another vehicle to continue their journey.
Police are continuing to verify the victim's identity and investigate the cause of the accident.
