Heavy rain that lasted all day caused many inner-city roads in Tuy Hoa City such as Nguyen Du, Mau Than, Le Loi, Nguyen Thanh Phuong, ... to be flooded.

Surprised by the pouring rain, Ms. Le Thi Hoa (51 years old, living in Tuy Hoa City) shared: "It rained continuously from morning to night, the white sky erased the rain. The sewer system cannot carry the amount of rainwater in time, causing the water on the road surface to rise at each time, causing flooding in some houses. I thought after Tet it would be sunny, who would have thought it would be so flooded again".
Mr. Nguyen Trang (residing in Tuy Hoa City) also lamented: "The water has risen since the afternoon. When a large vehicle passes by, the water overflows into the house, which is very inconvenient".
In Tay Hoa district, many areas were also deeply flooded. Mr. Ta Tan Cong - Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoa Thinh Commune (Tay Hoa District) - said that prolonged heavy rain caused the water level of the Banh Lai River to rise, causing widespread flooding, especially in My Canh village.
The inter-village road section alone was flooded with water about 100m long, with strong currents. The locality has sent forces to be on duty at dangerous locations to warn and guide vehicles to move.
According to Mr. Cong, it is estimated that about 150 hectares of cassava that have been newly planted for 10 - 20 days have been flooded, with a high risk of damage, forcing farmers to replant.

In My Thanh village (Hoa My Tay commune, Tay Hoa district), many hectares of cassava along the river were also heavily flooded.
Mr. Pham Minh Tri - Chairman of Tay Hoa District People's Committee - said that the locality is currently counting the damage to crops. "Right on the same day, the district has requested communes and towns to implement the "four on-site" motto to respond to heavy rain causing floods," said Mr. Tri.
