On the morning of October 6, 2025, the 13th Party Central Committee Conference, term XIII, opened in Hanoi.
In the morning, the Party Central Committee worked in the Hall. General Secretary To Lam delivered the opening speech at the Conference.
Politburo member and President Luong Cuong, on behalf of the Politburo, chaired the Conference. The Central Committee discussed and decided on a number of contents on personnel work:
(1) Elected 4 additional members of the 13th Central Inspection Committee, including comrades: Nguyen Manh Hung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hung Yen province; Major General Tran Van Phuc - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Director of the Quang Ninh Provincial Police; Trinh The Binh - Director, Secretary of the Department, Comrade Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat; Tran Quoc Binh - Director of the Department of Area III, Central Inspection Committee.
(2) Agree to let Mr. Le Quang Huy cease to be a member of the 13th Party Central Committee according to his personal wishes.
(3) Disciplinary action in the form of removal from all positions in the Party for Mr. Do Trong Hung, member of the Party Central Committee, former Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee, former Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, former Chairman of the People's Council of Thanh Hoa province for violating Party regulations and State laws in performing assigned duties and tasks, in preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity; violating regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example; causing very serious consequences, public outrage, and negatively affecting the reputation of the Party organization and local government.
(4) Giving opinions on personnel for the Politburo to decide on introducing the 15th National Assembly to elect the following positions: Secretary General of the National Assembly - Head of the National Assembly Office, Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Science, Technology and Environment, Member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly's Delegation Work Committee and approving the positions: Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Home Affairs.
After that, the Central Committee worked in the Group, discussing the following contents: Report on introducing personnel for the 14th Party Central Committee (both formal and admission; both re-election and first-time participation); Report on introducing personnel for the 14th Central Inspection Committee (both re-election and first-time participation).
In the afternoon, the Central Committee worked in the Hall: Discussing the Submission on the personnel of the Party Central Committee and the personnel of the 14th Central Inspection Committee. ballot of introduction: personnel for re-election to the 14th Central Committee (both official and final) and personnel for re-election to the 14th Central Inspection Committee. Personnel participating for the first time in the 14th Party Central Committee (both formal and absent) and the 14th Central Inspection Committee.
