Water levels of many large rivers across the country on July 26 changed slowly or fluctuated according to reservoir regulation and tides.

According to the bulletin of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, in the Red River basin, the water level of the Thao River in Yen Bai and Phu Tho is changing slowly. The Lo River in Tuyen Quang and Vu Quang is receding.

The water level downstream of the Red River in Hanoi continues to fluctuate according to the regulation of the above-line hydropower reservoirs and the influence of tides. At 1:00 PM on July 26, the water level of the Red River in Hanoi was at 4.29 m, forecast to rise to about 4.65 m in the next 36 hours.

At the Da River, the flow to Hoa Binh reservoir fluctuates according to the regulation of the above-line hydropower reservoirs. At 13:00 on July 26, the water level at Hoa Binh station was 34.40 m.

On rivers belonging to the Thai Binh river system, the water level of the Cau River at Dap Cau, the Thuong River at Phu Lang Thuong and the Luc Nam River at Luc Nam station continue to fluctuate, fluctuating according to the influence of tides. The water level of the Thai Binh River at Pha Lai is forecast to be highest at 2.10 m and lowest at 1.35 m in the next 36 hours.

In the North Central region, the water level of the Ma River fluctuates; the midstream area is affected by reservoir regulation, the downstream area at Giang station fluctuates according to tides. The Ca River has a slow upstream water level change, the midstream fluctuates according to reservoir regulation, and the downstream is affected by tides.

The water level of the La River in the Ngan Sau and Ngan Pho areas has small fluctuations; the Gianh River has upstream and downstream water levels fluctuating according to the tide. The water level of the Huong River changes slowly.

At 13:00 on July 26, the water level of the Ma River at Giang station was 1.35 m; La River at Linh Cam station was 1.02 m; Gianh River at Mai Hoa station was 0.61 m; Huong River at Kim Long station was 0.49 m.

In the South Central Coast, the water level of the Vu Gia River and the central and upstream areas of the Thu Bon River changes slowly; the downstream of the Thu Bon River fluctuates according to tides. The Tra Khuc River fluctuates according to reservoir regulation and the influence of tides.

The water level of the Thu Bon River at Cau Lau station is 0.44 m; Tra Khuc River at Tra Khuc station is 1.99 m; Da Rang River at Phu Lam station is 0.34 m.

In the Southeast region, the water level of the Dong Nai River at Ta Lai station changes slowly, forecast to fluctuate according to upstream reservoir regulation. The Be River at Phuoc Hoa station fluctuates according to reservoir regulation.

At 13:00 on July 26, the water level of the Dong Nai River at Ta Lai was 110.97 m; the Be River at Phuoc Hoa was 18.70 m.

In the Mekong River basin, the water level of the Dak Bla River fluctuates according to the regulation of hydropower reservoirs. The Krong Ana River changes slowly and tends to rise.

Notably, the water level at the headwaters of the Mekong River fluctuates according to the tide and tends to gradually rise. On July 25, the highest water level on the Tien River at Tan Chau station was 1.36 m, on the Hau River at Chau Doc station was 1.41 m.

It is forecasted that by July 30, the highest water level of the day on the Tien River in Tan Chau may reach 1.60 m, on the Hau River in Chau Doc about 1.70 m.
