On August 28, the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting issued a Short-term Hydrographic Forecast and Warning Bulletin.

According to the bulletin, with the Thao River, the water level at Yen Bai station (Lao Cai province) is rising, Phu Tho station is changing slowly and is rising.

Monitoring data at Yen Bai station at 7:00 AM on August 28 was at 27.25m, at the same time at Phu Tho station at 13.29m.

It is forecasted that the water level of the Thao River at Yen Bai station will change downwards, and Phu Tho station will continue to rise.

With the Lo River, the water level at Tuyen Quang station and Vu Quang station (Phu Tho province) is and is forecast to continue to change slowly and be affected by the upstream hydropower regulation.

Monitoring data at Tuyen Quang station at 7:00 AM on August 28 was at 13.54m, at the same time at Vu Quang station at 5.50m.

With the Da River, the flow to Hoa Binh reservoir is and will continue to fluctuate due to the regulation of the above-line hydropower plant.

Monitoring data shows that at 7:00 AM on August 28, the water level of Hoa Binh Lake was at 23.18m.

With the Red River, the water level downstream of the Red River at the Hanoi Hydrological Station is changing slowly, forecast to continue to change slowly and fluctuate according to the tidal regime as well as be affected by upstream reservoir regulation.

According to monitoring data, the water level downstream of the Red River at Hanoi station at 7:00 AM on August 28 was at 2.57m.
