Many hydropower reservoirs in the North are still lower than the normal water level, while the water flow to Hoa Binh and Son La reservoirs exceeds 3,000m3/s.

According to updated data at 3:00 PM on August 12, many hydropower reservoirs in the Northern region have large water inflows, of which Hoa Binh and Son La reservoirs recorded water inflows of over 3,000m3/s.

In the Northwest region, Hoa Binh reservoir has an upstream water level of 102.58m, 117m lower than the normal water level. Inflow to the reservoir reached 3,459m3/s, total discharge volume 2,752m3/s.

Son La Lake has a water level of 198.44m, which is 215m lower than the normal water level. Water inflow is 3,108m3/s, total discharge is 3,088m3/s.

Lai Chau Lake has a water level of 294.93m, close to the normal water level of 295m. The inflow and total discharge volume are both at 1,655m3/s.

Ban Chat Lake has a water level of 471.4m, 475m lower than the normal water level; water flowing to the lake is 66m3/s, total discharge volume is 236m3/s. Huoi Quang Lake is at 368.77m, water flowing 314m3/s and discharge 342m3/s.

In the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang reservoir has an upstream water level of 105.02m, 120m lower than the normal water level. Inflow to the reservoir is 562m3/s, while the total discharge is 726.15m3/s.

Thac Ba Lake has a water level of 54.1m, 58m lower than the normal water level; water inflow is 320m3/s, total discharge is 454.45m3/s.
