Bong Lau Martyrs' Cemetery is about to be majorly renovated and upgraded

Lang Son - In the near future, Bong Lau Martyrs' Cemetery in That Khe commune will be heavily renovated and upgraded.

The project to renovate and upgrade Bong Lau Martyrs' Cemetery, Lang Son province is approved for adjustment according to Decision No. 2471/QD-UBND dated November 17, 2025 of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee.

According to the above decision, the project's investor is adjusted from "Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs" to "Department of Home Affairs of the province".

Along with that, the project implementation location is gradually adjusted from "Chi Lang commune, Trang Dinh district, Lang Son province" to "That Khe commune, Lang Son province".

This project has a total investment of nearly 86.1 billion VND, of which construction costs are more than 67.2 billion VND; project implementation progress from 2021 to 2027.

According to the reporter's investigation, on April 10, the Department of Home Affairs of Lang Son province issued a bidding invitation notice for the "Construction and installation of equipment" package of the project.

The above-mentioned construction package was widely bid through the network, with a price of nearly 70.8 billion VND from the central budget to implement the ordinance on preferential treatment for people with meritorious services, local budget and other legal capital sources.

In the near future, after having the contractor selection results, the construction unit will deploy the renovation and upgrading of Bong Lau Martyrs' Cemetery in That Khe commune, Lang Son province.

The scope of work of the bidding package includes:

Technical infrastructure works: Leveling - total area of 24,857.72 m2; parking lot area of about 4,000 m2; earthen embankment built with stone blocks; embankment lined with concrete bricks interspersed with grass, total area of about 1,900 m2.

Construction works: Martyrs' tomb area with 463 new graves; 1 martyrs' temple house with an area of 423 m2; 1 management house with an area of 91 m2; 1 bell-hanging floor and 1 flag-hanging floor each with an area of 55 m2; memorial tomb with an area of 169 m2; Tam Quan gate 16 m wide.

Along with that, building other auxiliary items such as: Toilets; four-pillar gates; surrounding fences; ceremony yard; steps to the ceremony; dragon mats, envelopes; brick yards and walking paths; bridges and landscape lakes; green stone railings; boundary walls combined with railings; miniature landscape rockery and green landscape trees, power supply, water supply and drainage, fire prevention and fighting systems... are complete and synchronized.

The requirement for implementation progress is 600 days from the commencement to the completion of the entire contract.

Bong Lau Martyrs' Cemetery is located on National Highway 4A, in That Khe commune, Lang Son province.

This is a "red address" for revolutionary tradition education, expressing the morality of "When drinking water, remember the source" of the Party Committee, government and people of Lang Son province towards heroic martyrs who dedicated their youth to the cause of national liberation.

The cemetery has been renovated and upgraded to ensure solemnity, creating better conditions to organize incense offering and flower offering activities in gratitude, especially on major holidays, contributing to educating the young generation about patriotism and the responsibility to protect national sovereignty.
