On the morning of March 8, leaders of Bao Lam 5 commune (Lam Dong) confirmed that functional forces had found the body of a man who drowned while fishing on the Dasiat hydropower dam 4 days ago. The victim was identified as Mr. Vo Minh Thuong (39 years old, residing in Dong Nai province).
According to the leader of Bao Lam 5 commune, previously on March 3, while fishing on the Dasiat hydropower dam in the commune, Mr. Thuong had a conflict with a friend who was also a fisherman.
During the scuffle on the boat, Mr. Thuong unfortunately fell into the hydropower dam, drowned and went missing.
After receiving the news, Bao Lam 5 Commune People's Committee mobilized forces to coordinate with the rescue team of Lam Dong Provincial Police to organize the search.
However, due to the deep and fast-flowing water at the hydropower dam, search and rescue work faced many difficulties.
After many efforts, by the afternoon of March 7, functional forces had found the victim's body.
Currently, functional agencies are conducting scene examination and autopsy to serve the investigation and clarification of the case.
It is known that the victim's family is in difficult circumstances, with 3 young children of school age.
Mr. Thuong's wife does not have a stable job, mainly staying at home as a housewife, taking care of the children. The family's life depends on Mr. Thuong's income from fishing.
