On September 6, the leader of the People's Committee of Krong Pac district (Dak Lak province) confirmed that after the authorities announced the auction of 3 durians in the 2nd Krong Pac Durian Festival, there were many comments on social networks that did not reflect the true nature of the problem.
This move affects the meaning of the program and businesses working together to do social security work.
Ms. Nguyen Thai Huyen - representative of Viet Nong Phat Agricultural Company Limited (Krong Pac district, Dak Lak province) confirmed that she is the sponsor of the auction program of 3 "Durian Queen" fruits.
Ms. Huyen herself was very sad when many incorrect comments were made on social networks about the auction.
Ms. Huyen said: "This activity aims to enhance the value of durian. The "Durian Saint" contest aims to create a joyful atmosphere for people and tourists participating in the festival. Organizing the auction of 3 durians that have won the title of "Durian Queen" is more meaningful."
"The purpose of the program is first and foremost to honor farmers who produce delicious and beautiful durian. Through that, it sends a message to farmers that if they produce durian that meets standards, they will sell for a high price and not have to worry about output," Ms. Huyen shared.
According to Ms. Huyen, the company committed to sponsoring 3 gold-plated durians for the auction winner. In addition, the entire auction proceeds must be used for social security purposes, reinvested in agriculture, especially durian farmers.
According to the investigation, the businesses that won the auction of 3 durians have committed to the District People's Committee to transfer money after completing related procedures according to current regulations.
As Lao Dong reported, at the 2nd Durian Festival in Krong Pak District (Dak Lak Province), the Organizing Committee auctioned 3 durians that won the title "Durian Queen".
