At the National Children's Hospital, the reporter's records show that many parents take their children for examination because they have symptoms of respiratory infections, some have red rashes all over their bodies, and have had high fever for many consecutive days.
According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC) of Hanoi City, in the past week (from February 28 to March 7), the whole city recorded 120 cases of measles. Some units recorded many patients such as Hoang Mai with 14 cases; Dong Da, Ha Dong, Nam Tu Liem with 11 cases; Tay Ho, Thuong Tin with 10 cases. Thus, from the beginning of 2025 to now, Hanoi has recorded 745 cases in 30/30 districts, towns and cities, an increase compared to the same period in 2024.
In 1 week, Hanoi also recorded 13 cases of dengue fever; an increase of 4 cases compared to the previous week. Accumulated in 2025 recorded 182 cases; down compared to the same period in 2024. Patients were recorded in 27 districts, towns and cities.
hand, foot and mouth disease also caused concern with 53 cases recorded in 14 districts, towns and cities; 41 communes, wards and towns, an increase of 18 cases compared to last week. Since the beginning of 2025, 218 cases have been recorded; an increase compared to the same period in 2024. Patients are distributed in 29 districts, towns and cities. During the week, 1 outbreak was recorded in Ta Thanh Oai, Thanh Tri with 2 cases, currently there is 1 active outbreak.
A representative of the Hanoi CDC said that the unit coordinated to monitor the epidemic, detect early cases for isolation and treatment. The unit also monitors the measles vaccination campaign for children aged 6-9 months in many districts. The Hanoi Department of Health requires strengthening supervision of hand, foot and mouth disease in communities, schools, organizing hygiene, disinfection and timely treatment to prevent the spread of the epidemic.
